Stereo? Mono? Listen in 3D60

Isn’t it strange that we are listening to Dylan in mono? Of course the sound is gorgeous. But what went wrong with the stereo mix? Why was stereo the last “invention” in sound production? Yes, we had quadraphonic, but it died a premature death. Although Dylan in quad is  treat.
But finally, there is a new innovation: 3D60. It is a new sound production process created to deliver an immersive, three-dimensional listening experience to headphones. A 360 degree surround sound. If you listen to music made in 3D60 (on ordinary headphones) you hear sounds coming from all around; in front, behind, at different heights and even from overhead or below.
3D 60 is developed by Mike Brady, the Jam’s live sound engineer and music video director, musician and multimedia producer Ian Thompson, and music producer Youth. The new CD by Orb (featuring David Gilmour), metallic spheres has been made in 3D60.
